As a young girl, I have been encouraged to be educated, clean, gentle, modest, supportive, understanding, tender, compassionate, sensitive, unselfish… I have been praised for my intelligence, but I have few rewards. I am not assertive enough, not logical enough, not aggressive enough, not analytical enough… I am overcome by my emotions… And so, I should become a man!

Chronicles of Women in Romania 
There are many women who do not know their rights and so, they do not use them, there are women who believe to be inferior because they are verbally abused every day. This happens even in Bucharest, in a professional environment, not to mention about rural areas where physical abuse is the only game in town.
